TRACY, NICOLA & EMILY celebrating NATIONAL CASK ALE WEEK at The Stork. There is nothing to beat a well kept, perfectly poured pint of cask ale and it's something that you can only truly experience in a pub. We are proud to continuely stock Black Sheep, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Marstons Pedigree and Cumberland Ale. Along with most traditional British Pubs, The Stork Inn is celebrating the success that is "English Cask Ale" - come along and taste test our beer, excellent quality that compliments our fresh food, perhaps you will be tempted to try one of our South African specialities - Boerewors, slightly spiced pure beef sausage, Bobotie or with coffee, hertzog cookies & lamingtins.
NEW PUB GAME AT THE STORK
The Stork never ceases to amaze! On a recent visit we travelled up from the Tall Ships Regatta in Falmouth, thinking that we'd seen the grace and movement of every sailing vessel ever built. We were wrong... imagine our suprise when we arrived at the dear old Stork to find a huge motor yacht swinging high, and dry over the pub's car park. It was enough to drive us to drink...........well that was a good idea............so we joined th happy band of spectators surrounding the carpark. What fun.... real ale, fine wine, good company and a gigantic revolutionary pub game.... passing the ship from on expectant lorry to another via a huge crane. Dont know if this new sport will catch on?! It must take a lot of organising, but we enjoyed it. We cant wait for our next visit... goodness knows what entertainment Tracy, and her gang will have in store for us? And all for free!! Who knows? Maybe we'll get especially lucky.... and we'll finally meet the ghost! Many thanks for John and Yvonne Bennett for reliving the tale for all to read... pictures to follow shortly. AND CONGRATULATIONS TO.... Luke Hargreaves (aged 4) and Katie Gill (aged 6) whose pictures celebrating Chinese New Year have won both their families a meal voucher for 2 adults and 2 children. Thank you for all that took part!
